Mehran Abedi, DMD, MDS

Dr. Mehran Abedi has been working in the field of dentistry for 20 years. After graduating from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, he practiced as a general dentist for 6 years.
He then moved to US and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from UCONN School of Dental Medicine. He practiced in Long Island NY for 2 years before coming back to UCONN to continue his education in the field of Endodontics.

He received his certificate in Endodontics and obtained a Master of Dental Sciences degree in the field of oral microbiology with extensive research in the pathogenesis of endodontic infection. He has presented his research project at the annual meeting of the American Association of Endodontics.

He continues his collaboration with UCONN with lending his time as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Department of Endodontics. This association and working with endodontic residents and dental students allows him to always be up-to-date with the newest research and most advanced techniques in the field of endodontics.

Dr. Abedi is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, Connecticut State Dental Association, Middlesex County Dental Society and Farmington Valley Dental Series Study Club.

Dr. Abedi resides in Avon with his wife, Haleh, and their two children, Tara and Ryan.

When he is not busy treating patients, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, biking, hiking and skiing.
