Mark Melnick, DMD

Dr. Mark Melnick received his DMD with honors in 1997 from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. After completing his postdoctoral endodontic degree there in 1999, he joined Central Connecticut Endodontics, PC.

Dr. Melnick is proficient at performing Endodontics with the use of a microscope, which he uses for all phases of his work. His skills were honed as he trained with the world-renowned pioneer in the field, Dr. Herbert Schilder.  Dr. Melnick spent many years sharing his knowledge with the BU dental students as an Adjunct Professor in Endodontics.

All of Dr. Melnick’s patients have the ability to observe him perform their root canal procedure via an internal camera in the microscope which can projected to a TV monitor on the ceiling exactly what he sees. Dr. Melnick’s patients also have the option watching a slide show of his underwater photos taken from all over the world for their entertainment.  He has amassed a large collection of photos since beginning diving in 2000. Dr. Melnick’s professional affiliations include active memberships in the American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, Connecticut State Dental Association, Tolland County Dental Society, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, and Seattle Study club.  Dr. Melnick has been awarded Hartfords Top dentist in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014.  Dr. Melnick has also been voted Connecticut Top Dentist every year since it’s inception: 2007 though 2016.
